Patricia Hood MacNicol was recently appointed as Ethicist to the Regional Ethics Program, at Trillium Health Center. She is primarily located at Credit Valley Hospital, one of the ‘spokes’ within the Regional Ethics Program, and is an active member of that hospital’s Research Review Team.
Patricia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Queens University, Kingston, Ontario and a MHSc in Bioethics from University of Toronto, Joint Centre for Bioethics (2009). She has extensive working experience in community and hospital settings at both clinical and management levels with clinical specialty in pediatrics, developmental disabilities and neonatology. She has been engaged in bioethics work with a number of community service providers/agencies including the provincial and national association of Infant and Child Development workers.
Primary interests are in community based/care ethics, including rehab and disability ethics, and research, clinical and organizational ethics within context of community based care.
