In the role of Director, Administration and Operations, Brenda works closely with the Director of the Joint Centre for Bioethics, utilizing an understanding of the overall goals and objectives of the Joint Centre for Bioethics and the University of Toronto. Responsibilities entail ensuring the effective and efficient administration in all financial matters; human resources; space management; computing services; technology and other areas in support of the teaching and research goals/missions of the JCB.

Brenda’s extensive administrative and business management contribution includes; the inaugural Network Business Manager for the federal Network of Centres of Excellence, the Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems (MITACS), in which she was instrumental in the design and implementation of the Network’s administrative and business procedures and was responsible for its day-to-day administrative operation. In addition, Brenda served as the Publications Manager at the University of Toronto affiliated Fields Institute and worked over 20 years of administration at the University of Waterloo.
