Kimberley Ibarra is a Program Evaluation Specialist and Ethics Consultant at the Toronto Central Community Care Access Centre (CCAC). She holds a BA (Hons) in Philosophy and Bioethics from the University of Toronto. She is currently completing an MSc in Health Services Research in the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation and Joint Centre for Bioethics Collaborative Program, conducting a qualitative study exploring ethicists’ perspectives of healthcare ethics program evaluation.

 

Kimberley supports ethics consultation, policy development, and ethics education within the Toronto Central CCAC and external healthcare and support service organizations, including the Community Ethics Network. Kimberley has presented at workshops, seminars, and conferences on ethical issues related to supporting choice/living at risk, discharge planning, Accreditation Canada, homecare, and consent and capacity at local, provincial and national levels.

 

In her ongoing program evaluation role, Kimberley incorporates principles of research ethics and organizational ethics into the design, planning and implementation of evaluation and quality improvement projects, including the evaluation of LHIN-funded Aging-at-Home Strategy projects: Home First and the Seniors Independence Project.

 

Her research interests include homecare ethics, client choice/living at risk, organizational ethics, and evaluation and quality improvement in ethics.
