Christopher is a currently a Bioethicist with the Centre for Clinical Ethics (CCE) in Toronto.
In 2012-2013, he completed the CCE Fellowship in Clinical and Organizational Bioethics in collaboration with the University of Toronto Joint Centre for Bioethics.
He earned his PhD in 2012 from the University of St. Michael’s College, at the University of Toronto; and his doctoral research has been featured on CBC’s IDEAS (2013). He also holds a Masters of Divinity from Regis College UofT (1999), and a BA in Christianity and Culture/Philosophy from USMC, UofT (1993).
Christopher’s clinical training took place at the Ontario Correctional Institute (1997), the Hospital for Sick Kids (1997-98), with his specialist certification (CASC) taking place in home care (2001). He has a history of over 15 years in frontline and management roles in acute, community and mental health care.
His research foci include ethics and mental health, “professional” ethics in clinical practice, spirituality/religion in clinical care, end of life decision making, narrative practice and grief counselling, moral development theory (for individuals and institutions), and Catholic faith based ethics/health care.
