Education: Opportunities
Postgraduate Education in Medical Bioethics:
The Postgraduate Bioethics Education
initiative is based on a "hub and spoke" model in which they serve as the "hub" to coordinate postgraduate bioethics teaching and to build capacity in postgraduate bioethics teaching in each residency program (the "spokes"). Their goal is to ensure that each postgraduate program has faculty that can provide the highest quality bioethics teaching. While this is an important goal in its own right, it will also help fulfill RCPSC and CFPC accreditation guidelines that require each postgraduate program to have a defined bioethics curriculum.
Continuing Education:
A key continuing education focus is the Ian Anderson Program
, which aims to train 10,000 physicians in end-of-life care. Alumna establishes the $1 million end-of-life program.
